Detail Bike Tech is a professional, fully equipped bicycle workshop based in Holbrook, near Belper, Derbyshire, delivering precision servicing, repairs, and performance-focused modifications for both road and mountain bikes.
The workshop is known for bespoke wheel building, frame wrapping, and comprehensive suspension servicing—including forks, shocks, and seat posts—approaching every bike as a complete system. From daily riders and long-distance builds to race machines and custom projects, each job is carried out with meticulous attention to detail, reliability, and performance.
Beyond the workshop, Detail Bike Tech provides elite-level race and performance support to professional teams and national programmes. This includes mechanical race support and specialist aerodynamic testing on track and in the wind tunnel at the Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub, working in collaboration with WattShop to deliver data-driven optimisation and marginal gains. Clients include Red Bull–BORA–hansgrohe, INEOS Grenadiers, British Cycling Team GB, Team Scotland, Ribble Weldtite, and the HUUB Wattbike Race Team.
Notably, Detail Bike Tech served as lead mechanic for Dan Bigham’s UCI Hour Record, as well as the WattShop Week of Records, contributing to multiple successful Hour Record performances—establishing a level of experience in this discipline unmatched by any other mechanic.
